Day
2 - Under the Sea
Thursday 18th September
 9.30am caught the Sunlover Cruiser to the Great Barrier
Reef (Moore Reef) for a day of snorkelling.
This day was one of the
highlights of our trip, except Ehly's sea sickness on the boat! Poor
thing. But once we arrived at Moore Reef we were overwhelmed by the
beatuy of the reef.
We went on the glass bottom boat to see the colourful
coral and fishes. Then we went snorkelling. This was absolutely
beautiful, something we would definitely do again. It looked
like what you see
on the Discovery channel, only 100 times better.
We even
saw a fish that was as big as a tarago, it was scary but
up close it had a friendly
face. Our only regret is not bringing a waterproof camera.
We ate lunch on the deck and caught the ferry for Fitzroy
Island at 4pm.
Long but
and unforgettable experience.
