Whats New ? -- Allusion Designs Sponsors Charity Event Allusion Designs sponsors "Eastern Respite and Recreation"… A disability service in the Eastern Suburbs. The Masquerade cocktail party was held at the very exclusive Hugo’s lounge in King Cross. The purpose of the night is to raise money for Eastern Respite and Recreation (ER&R). ER&R is a not-for-profit organization (and a registered charity). They provide services to people with disability and respite for primary carers. This involves provision of 1:1 support, group activities, holiday programs, camps, weekend's away, school leavers programs and after school care for individuals aged 0-65years. ER&R currently provide a service to 280 families and have the same amount of families on their waiting list. The majority of these services provided are free of charge, despite some programs incurring a nominal daily fee. ER&R employs approximately 70 staff and has around 80 volunteers. ER&R is funded by DADHC and DOCS (state level), Dept. of health and ageing and Dept. of family and community services (Commonwealth level) and the local council.
